Vinod Shah completed his Master's Degree in painting from the M.S. University at Baroda, and since then has had 25 solo exhibitions including at important art centers like Singapore, London, Edinburgh, San Francisco, Boston and Austin.
He has won the National Award in 1968. the "Gaurav Puraskar" by the Govt. of Gujarat in 1997 and the Veteran Artist Award by AIFACS, New Delhi 1999.
He has participated at the Paris Biennale 1969, the VI Triennale in India in 1986, the III World Art Exhibition in London in 1981, and as Commissioner for 6th Biennale of Asian Art in Bangladesh in 1993.
Vinod Shah lives and works in Baroda.
