Born in Andhra Pradesh in 1958,graduated in Fine Arts from MS Univ Baroda, following it with Post Graduation in Fine Arts from same university. Received Junior Fellowship,from Department of Culture,1990-93 Sanskrit Award-1993, Senior Fellowship,Department of Culture,1995-97.
"my heart would be enough" In this series I have discarded oils and canvas for gouche and water colours on large format paper. While the medium has changed, I continue to probe the idea of the ephemeral as well as the evolving aspects of the self quoting lines from medieval devotional poetry as well as metaphorical imagery, I allude to the impermanence of the human body the present work also hints at areas of faith, devotion and transcendence,but it articulates these ideas in an oblique manner, using voices from poetry and imagery culled from mythology.
