Born in 1927, Ira Chaudari studied art at Shanitniketan and thereafter practiced pottery at the faculty of fine arts M. S. University, Baroda. She has won an award for Best potter of the year 1995 (AIFACS) and has held several solo and group shows in India and aboard. She currently lives and works in New Delhi.
