Archana Das completed post-graduation with a Gold Medal in Pottery, Ceramic & Design, Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi (2000). She received the “Ceramist of the Year Award”, India Habitat Centre and Delhi Blue Pottery Trust, New Delhi, 2007. Currently she is Junior Fellow, Department of Culture, Government of India, 2007-09. Her solo shows were held at Art Heritage, New Delhi, in 2004 and “Creations on Wheel”, was held at the Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow in 2003. She has participated in several prestigious Group Shows and Workshops in Mumbai, New Delhi, Lucknow and Varanasi. Her work was selected for participation in the 2nd Beijing International Art Biennale, China, in 2005. She continues her work as a ceramic potter at the Rashtriya Kala Kendra, Lucknow, and is Guest Faculty at College of Art & Craft, Lucknow.
